In small spaces you have to be smart with the square meters. A homemade kitchen table can offer a solution. In this project, Pauline shows how she got started with custom-sawn pine carpentry panels. The result is a beautiful and practical high kitchen table.

Description by Pauline

We built a high kitchen table for our 35 m2 apartment, the table keeps the room light and spacious. This is a very nice beautiful addition to our kitchen.

How I made this project

We placed 3 (large) strong screws in the wall to make a base, bought a plank we used as support for the ends and simply attached the two arranged wooden planks together to create a corner. The structure is reinforced by metal pieces at the angle it sits on the wall. We are very happy because the wood and size are perfect and look exactly as we expected or better!

Dimensions of my DIY project

Table shelf 160.0 x 60, 0 cm
Foot of the table 60.0 x 100.0 cm
