Radiator casing made of MDF and then everything tightened and then painted in primer and then painted with concrete look paint and then 2 more layers of topcoat.
A budget-friendly radiator yourself making a conversion
First I made a drawing and then ordered the custom planks online from OPMAATZAGEN.nl. The long planks consist of 3 parts and are milled at a 45 degree angle and then glued. All planks have been milled with a small bevelled edge using the router.
Everything is put together with wood glue and screws. The seams of the long planks were closed with filler and sanded tightly, then everything was primed and the radiator casing was painted with a concrete-look paint. Because I chose MDF primed, this was done in no time!
Final size: What are the outside dimensions?
No. 1 3050mm x 550mm
No. 2 1460mm x 690mm
