We decided to have a new table top made of beautiful finger-jointed oak for our existing coffee table. Lacquered it myself and very happy with the result.

Assembling an oak top on the coffee table

Our coffee table had a glass top that we were really looking forward to. Therefore, after some searching at OPMAATZAGEN.nl, I ordered a oak top of 74.2 cm with beveled edge. Such a large size made of oak is not available everywhere. But we received very nice finger-jointed material through this supplier. To make the wood structure stand out, but to protect the table top, I applied 4 layers of matte glitsa parquet varnish. We are very happy with the end result!
