The kitchen features a sleek, modern dining bench. Thomas opted for a neutral colour palette that blends seamlessly into the interior. The soft cushions on top provide comfortable seating, while the white primed panels of Multiplex Interieur Populier give a fresh, clean look.

The construction of the corner sofa

Thomas started with a sturdy pine frame, custom-made by TOSIZE.pt. He then installed lids that provide access to the spacious storage chests underneath. These handcrafted benches not only serve as seating, but also house handy storage chests for all sorts of kitchen utensils, greatly increasing the kitchen’s storage capacity.

Flexibility and freedom of choice

By making this bench himself, Thomas was able to tailor the dimensions to the exact space available in his kitchen. This DIY approach gave him the freedom to choose materials that were both within his budget and aesthetically pleasing. The result is a dining area that is both practical and visually appealing.
