Homemade floating TV cabinet

We have made a floating wall unit, bookcase and TV cabinet to create extra storage space. The cabinets are mounted on the long side of the living room to emphasize the length of the room.

Making a scale model from cardboard

To realize the project we made drawings in advance, see also attached. We made a scale model with cardboard to see whether the cupboard fits well in the interior. Once we had finalized the dimensions, we had the MDF planks cut to size via OPMAATZAGEN.nl. The wood was delivered to my home on time, great! I then made the cabinets with the help of two handymen. We have collected important tools, such as saw table, drills, etc. (borrowed from family and friends). It will take a few more days to complete the project.

Final size: What are the outside dimensions?

The cabinet at the bottom left is approximately 180.0 centimeters wide, consisting of three cabinets of 60 centimeters wide. The cabinet on the right is approximately 73.0 centimeters wide.
