Description
I closed the open staircase in my new-build home with 15 mm thick poplar plywood planks. The stairs are now closed and transfer steps can be placed as a next step.
Work description: how did you realize your project
- Measure the different steps
- Order the plates (in my case Poplar Multiplex 15mm) at TOSIZE.pt and give each plank a unique characteristic
- Mount the plates on the steps. I used the 'wolfcraft undercover jig set' for that myself
- Seal the drill holes with Albastine Wood Filler (tube)
- Seal the edges with Alabastine flexible wood sealant
- Paint the stairs (primer was not necessary because the plates are already primed by TOSIZE.pt!)
Final size: What are the outer dimensions?
Beforehand I measured every step. That was quite a job.
